Privacy Statement
Version 2026-11
This text is a starting template and has not been reviewed by a lawyer. It must be reviewed and adapted before this service is opened to the public.
This Privacy Statement explains what Smart Salary Manager stores about you and why. The service is run by RISKANET Solutions, who decides how your information is used.
What we store
- Account details: your email address, display name, and the time you joined and last signed in.
- What you enter: your accounts, transactions, income, budgets, savings goals, debts, purchase plans, invoices and settings.
- Technical records: server logs and sign-in attempt counters (stored in a scrambled form, not as plain emails or addresses). We avoid putting amounts or descriptions in logs.
Why
To provide the budgeting service to you, to send the reminder emails you ask for, to keep the service secure, and to support you. We do not sell your information or use it for advertising.
Who can see it
Other users cannot see your data; the database is built so each account can reach only its own records. The operator's management tools show account details (email, name, status, dates) and counts, not your financial entries. People who administer the database and hosting can technically access stored data, so access is limited to what is needed to run and secure the service.
Services we rely on
Your data is stored and processed with our infrastructure providers: a database and sign-in provider (Supabase), a web host (Vercel) and, if reminders are on, an email sender (Resend). They process data for us under their own terms and may handle it outside Kenya.
Your choices
- Download your data from the app at any time.
- Correct it in the app, or reset or delete your account in Settings. Deleting removes your data from the live service; copies may remain in provider backups until they expire.
- Turn reminder emails off in Settings.
- Ask us what we hold about you or make a complaint, using the contact below. You may also have rights under the Kenya Data Protection Act, 2019.
Keeping it safe
Connections are encrypted, access is controlled by your sign-in, and we follow good practice for passwords and access limits. No system is perfectly secure; tell us at once if you notice anything wrong.
